Recently Kimberley Products have been approached to create a prototype bin that can be used in public places, such as train platforms, to enable detection of any dangerous contents.  In light of recent increased risk of terrorism, the Kimberley Platform bin, with use of clear bags, may prevent public bins being used to inflict harm.  This bin also features a secure lockable lid to deter vandalism.
